The two guys standing on the right of the picture were Pl Comd's as was Lt Smythe. The guy standing on the left is Jack Calmes and the one seated is Bob Stuckless.

BJ, Bruce didn't go to Germany, as far as I know. That's Bob Stuckless sitting up front. That's Victor Wedel sitting down on the far right.(RIP)

Jack Calmes – I remembered his first name, but the last name was driving me crazy. We went through our training together, both Cornwallis and Petawawa, and took several flights from Pembroke to Toronto together on the old DC-3s – Jack was from Milton I believe, and I of course from Hamilton. Think he went photo-tech.
Anyway, I think the guy at the far back, 3rd from right – white shirt and leather jacket is [Lt] Haighter (?).

Hayder, was also the guy who walked into Tiffany’s, and tried to pick a fight with “Sear-a-nose” (sp?). He kept bugging him, and saying that he was pretty fast, then buddy hit him once, and said, well, you’re not fast enough. It was too funny; they both ended-up with a few extra duties after that one.
