This is a pic of the section I was in during basic trg in Cornwallis. Taken during range week fall of 78.

Two missing from this pic. Myself & John Beckerleg. It must of been taken the morning after the night map march. Both John & myself suffered eye injuries & were sent to the MIR where we received eye patches. At this point there was 17 of us left out of 30 that started. A few of these people spent many years within the Regiment. A few also remustered later on. I can remember about 2/3 of the names.

Gary: Correct on Randy Goguen & Jim Cotnam. Wrong on Ernie. Look closer. Rear row shows a future 1 RCR, RSM & then BSM. Also a future(after time with 1 & 3 RCR) CWO after remuster to cook.

The pic looks like B Coy 1 RCR in 1978/1979 and the guy in the middle without gloves is Capt Mitchell.
