Looking for old Buddies
« on: July 12, 2005, 07:38:50 PM »

My Dad, Jim Macaluso, served overseas during WW2. He doesn't often talk about the war or his experiences, but when he does, he often wonders what became of his old friends. One name in particular comes up, Don Campbell. The last my Dad heard, years ago, was that Mr. Campbell had moved to British Columbia.

My Dad was visiting today, and again he was asking about how he could find out about Don and his other friends. He's 82 and not very computer literate, so I thought I would post his name, ask a few questions and see what happens.

What sort of information do I need to have in order to find out? Is there a central registry? Or does each person have to submit a profile and hope someone else is looking for them?

Any help would be appreciated.
