Would anyone like to see reading material in the hospital pack, magazine, soft cover novel etc.  I have pushed these packs in my area and the feedback is good, this was just an additional thought to addition to the pack

Hello Deborah,

The Hospital Packs are a standard set of clothing and toiletries to help out the soldier during his movement through the medical evacuation system.  The packs are being assembled by the 1st Battalion's Kit Shop and each pack is the same.  Adding things would complicate the process and not necessarily match the tastes of individual soldiers.  Significantly, once the door is opened for additional donated items in the Packs, it could be assumed to be open to presumption by others that anything could be donated inclusion.

Thank you for your consideration, but I have not yet heard any remarks that additional items are desired or needed for this specific program.

For further information on your options, this page from the Canadian Forces Personnel Support Program deals with other possibilities for donations of goods - http://www.cfpsa.com/en/psp/Donations/index.asp
