Looking to get in touch with any members of 1 RCR, Wosley Barracks, London, from 1983 - 1987. I was a member of Charles Co. and went to Cyprus in 84 and was also a member of Echo Co. in Armour Defence Platoon. Would love to here from any members who were of the regiment during that time frame.

Hey Ted Thanks for the message. Just a quick question, are you the same Ted Hudson who worked at the St. Thomas Psych Hospital during the 90's? Because if you are, I am the same Clair Whyte who worked there with you. Hope things are well in the lovely little town of Gravenhurst. I am doing well, have remarried (7 years ago) and am now living in Strathroy, and work as a communicator for the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service (3 years). I guess paying attention to those radio using seminars in the military paid off. I am also the communications co-ordinator for our Emergency Response Unit and have been doing a lot of training for emergency situation, a lot like military training except we don't sleep outside. Hope you are doing well and Best Wishes to you and your Family for Christmas and New Years. Thanks for your message and I hope you will keep in touch.

Hey Riv
Thanks for the message. You name also rings a bell as well. I'll have to dig out may Cyprus book and see if I can find you. Sometimes if I see a picture it comes back. Hope you are doing well. So, what have you been up to these last few years? Have you kept in touch with any others from the regiment. Keep in touch, and thanks again for the message.

Hi Clair:
I was in 1RCR from 1986 - 1988. Spent time in C Coy 9 Platoon and E Coy Recce. Used to hang out with Terry Reardon, Tim Barratt, Johnny Cahil, Gord Commandant Dave Nyazola, to name a few. Best time I can remember was Denmark in 87'. Went to Germany in 1988 then to the PWOR in Kingston in 1992 and finally hung it up in 1994. Miss the nights at Spooners but not the morning PT after. Still in touch with a few of the guys but we all seem to be moving in different directions. Currently working for an Oil Company in the middle east and reside in Beaumont Alberta. Great to hear from you.

Hey BJ Thanks for the message. The only BJ I remember from Cyprus was Warrant BJ McLean of 8 Platoon. I was in 7 platoon but had a number of good friends in Crazy 8, including Ken Parker and Bob Moeller. Things are going well, I live in Strathroy and work for the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service in communications. Thanks again for the message and get back with some more details about Cyprus.

Hey Kev, great to here from you. Living in Ottawa, my old stomping grounds, grew up just west of there. How are things with you? I to worked for the commissionaires, in London and St. Thomas and found it to be a lot of fun. Right now I live in Strathroy, just west of London and work for the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service as a Communications Operator (dispatch) and have been here for 3 years. Love my job and enjoy coming to work everyday. Along with dispatching I am also the communications coordinator for our Emergency Response Unit (I guess those communication classes in the forces paid off). Haven't really kept up with many of the old crew from 1 RCR, though I do see Wayne Nuzum regularly as he lives in Mt Brydges, just outside of Strathroy. Would love to here more about how things are going with you and what you have been up to. If you want send to my direct email at cwhyte@scps.on.ca. Take care and keep in touch.

Hey Tim
Wayne is still moving vehicles, he was working for a trucking company just outside of London. Wayne had to take a few months off due to knee surgery. I guess he fell off the top of the truck and smashed his knee on the way down. He is all healed up and back to work. I'll let him know you were asking about him.
