If anyone has any pictures or our 100th anniversary could you try and post them. My father died last may and had the only copies he took. Don't have any myself. Thanks in advance if you do. No problem if you don't. Respects. Bill

Great idea, Bill. I too had an unfortunate incident wherein my photos and memorabilia of the hundredth were ruined in a basement flood.

More importantly, in an association persepective, there is no thread dedicated to this memorable event. Considering those of who were serving twenty three years ago may be retired and members of this site or close to this is an excellent opportunity to relive a most excellent time.

Thanks in advance. I still have my coin from the 100th, my fathers 100th coin, some pamphlets, bumper stickers etc. No pictures though. I was in the front rank of the 3-CDO guard and don't have one picture of it anymore. Office fire years ago took care of that on me. Thank again. Bill

I had a beer bottle with the anniversary label...think i drank it....I was still in Battle School during the event but we all came down to London for the festivities. We stayed in the Dukes company shack....I do recall getting so drunk I passed out on the front step to the shacks.

I celebrated by getting a very bad tattoo from Al 'the butcher' Neucomb....what a scratcher..I'm in the process of having a tattoo designed to cover it up, finally...

The whole thing added about 3 weeks to our Battle School experience, but is one I'll remember for life.

So call me a moron, but I applied for re-enrollment. Not grunts though..that's a young mans game. I figure I'll go back to my old trade and remuster to Flight Engineer....first posting is usually TacHel. My son is almost at the age that he doesn't need me around all the time and is planning on going to Univesity in Ontario anyway....recruiting center hasnt' changed much though..still takes forever to get anything done and they simply do not return phone calls.

Visited the museum recently with my youngest daughter. Just wanted to show her and to tell her what the Military overall was like and also give her a bit of a history lesson. In the museum, they have a large scrap book with newspaper clippings from the 100th Anniversary. I took my time to look and to remember what a time that was. I hope in the future I will be able to attend up and coming Anniversaries. When is the next one? Also would anyone know where I can purchase the 100th anniversary coin? Unfotunately I lost mine some 15yrs. ago. If anyone knows, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
