I've learned two things this evening, 1) "We were soldiers once.....and young...." ; and 2) I was a lousy photographer

Just for an FYI. If you cursor the picture and R button click, the image opens in a much larger format.

By the way John, Tom medically released a few years back as a refrige tech; him and Laurie retired to his hometown in northern NB, 'Jagoe Beach' or something like that; not too far from Bathurst; he is still as crazy as ever; great guy at a party. We both were at our last two postings: Chatham & Gagetown.

were either of you on my flight back from Cyprus? One of the jr or snr nco's, don't remember his name but he was of the impromptu Toga party fame...stood up as the flight attendants were serving meals and yells, "Now we eat...soon....... we shall mate!" I'll have to dig out my Eight Point Star issues tonight and see if i can put a name to the face.

Hey boy's, great to see some great cyprus pictures from the past. Was in C Company and recognize some faces from the first picture, Dave Blake and Jeff Redsell (they were in C as well, not A).
The time spent in Cyprus 84 has to be one of the highlights of my life, the beaches, the bars, the women, the OP's (okay, maybe not the OP's) but everything else was a blast.
Really miss my days in 1 RCR and often wish I hadn't jumped ship so early, youth can really make you do some stupid things.
I now work for the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service as a communications operator and Communications Co-Ordinator for our Emergency Response Unit. I love my job and living in Strathroy but miss alot of the old friends from 1 RCR London.
Hoping to see more pictures posted from our trip abroad and hearing from any old C Company friends.
