I would like to thank both Burke Feige, for the recipies of : the Hairy Anticipator and THE RED PATCH SPECIAL. As well as thanks to Hugh Conway for the background story on the HAIRY ANTICIPATOR.

I was able to do a PRINT COPY  of both. Will take them to Edmonton for a THIRTY 'th Wedding Anniversary and see if the Hairy Anticipator  will be tried there.
As far as the RED PATCH SPECIAL is concerned, I am getting hold of our RCR WINDSOR  CHAPTER PRES. and suggest that this should become our favourite branch drink for ALL MEETINGS..  SURE WISH WE HAD IT AT ORTONA, IT WOULD HAVE GONE DOWN REAL GOOD AT THE ORTONA CROSS ROADS, FOLLOWING OUR HEAVY LOSS OF  'D' COY.MEN.  At that time, all we had to drink was our daily TOT OF DARK NAVY RUM. IT WAS GOOD BUT NOT ENOUGH TO LIVE ON.  Keep up the good work guys. It is a pleasure to read some of the newer comments re current oversreas duty.  It reminds of days of old.

George, don't stop now... Have a couple of those hairy anticpators and tell us about the Ortona cross roads. I, for one, would be most interested in hearing everything you can remember about your time as a Royal Canadian during one of the most important eras of our Regiments history.  I am quite certain others feel the same.

Hi George

Tell us some more stories. You never know we all may be dead tommorow if Al Biden has his way. I was in from 1961 - 1999 and never turned down a good story.
