Well, I see that many are viewing this thread so I'm hoping that some of you have taken pen to hand or typed out a wee greeting for the lads. I just finished a couple of short letters, frankly, it not to difficult once you get going. Get those letters going......

Just a wee reminder, lads.

I know its only been a couple of weeks bu the boys of the 1RCR have been slogging it out with the Taliban and have lost, as have we, three of our brothers in arms during combat this morning.

Clearly, the situation is tense for em, perhaps to much so the lads my find it to difficult to converse about with their loved ones... but not for us.

Write a Royal Canadian today, let em know, as a Rayal, your with em and if they need to talk with someone without scaring the hell out of em (in a dependent or civvy way), your available.

I hope some of the lads take pen to paper, more so now as the number has risen to four since I last visitied this thread...damn, they just announced two names but I did not catch  them. Both Warrant officers...
