My name is Tony and I worked as storeman/dvr. for 3RCR O Coy ADP from 78-83, and our QM/WO for this time was Raymond ! He was already a bit of a legand at this time and i was wondering if any of the older Royals out there have any stories they can relate about about Ray ?? As far as im concerned it was one of the highlights of my life to have worked with this exceptional Royal !! Pro Patria !!

Hi Tony,
I just joined the 3rd battalion during RV 85.  Might have missed you, as I was in November Company.

Hi Tony
Do you remember the time we got in trouble with CSM Cann for opening up the canteen to early and Ray told him that the ADP canteen opened on demand?

Where are you now? I live just outside of Belleville and have just retired.

I can remmber we had to march back from Sentalager to Soest it was practice for Nigmegen, We stopped for the night and all got pretty wobbly. The next day we where still on the road and thristy. We keep going by gasstoff, one after another and complaining like all good Royals do the Officer wouldnt stop. At one little town with a bar Raymond and John was there also said very quietly left wheel right into the bar as the Officer kept going. Once he realized what happened he came into the bar very red faced but didnt say aword. I forget his name, but someone out there must remmber the story aye Doug. Roll Eyes

Hi Tony, back in the mid 80's, two weeks prior to the Bn going to WainCon myself, Bucky Buchanon, Eric Inglis went to Wainwright as range staff for the small arms compitition. Raymond was IC. Eric and Bucky had known Ray for a long time and were always making wisecracksand giving him the business. During all the rundowns the three of us would jog down the range with the shooters.  On one of the rundowns only two people were required so Ray told me to take a break, these two wise asses will do the rundown. Never heard the end of it after that, Bucky always referred to me as the "CSM's favorite". Needless to say it was a very entertaining two weeks working with these three characters!
