At a recent Memorial Service held by the Royal Canadian Legion, a gentleman in a business suit showed up with poppy present, was told by Legion Member that this was a Legion parade. to which he replyed I am a Legion Member, but your not in Uniform was the reply from the other member.  The suited gentleman left the hall in discust and I don"t blame him I would have too if that had been said to me.  Lets start our brain in motion before our mouth.  We are after all commrades, without arms.

Ranrad here, some more on the Legion Memorial. Any Legion member should know that there is no, repeat NO requirement for Legion members to have or wear a uniform.I hope whoever did this misdeed wil find the courage to find whomever they offended and set the matter straight.I wholeheartedly agree with Ron on this and am happy to see it brought to light. We are all comrades, and of course , now without arms. Ranrad

with the numbers of our veterans diminishing every year we don't need to be placing any sort of restrictions on them.

He showed up to pay his respects and should be commended for doing so.

I too hope the member in question makes evry attempt to provide an apology.
