    Sorry to report that Herb Simons obituary was in the London Free Press, yesterday, 29 Oct 05. Herb served well for 26 years, a cheerful soldier who always seemed to be smiling. He will be remembered.   Rick Rankine.. Pro Patria

 Sorry to hear of Herb's untimely passing . Herb joined our platoon in basic training in 61, but since this was his second time around in the army , he soon moved on to join the 1st battalion . Many an opponent surrendered in a hurry , at the hands of Herb , as he was an accomplished boxer with the battalion boxing team . My sympathy to the family and friends of Herb . "PRO PATRIA"
