Hi Phil
You were RCR when you served in London - Rivers and then changed to Supply in Rivers and then posted to Montreal.. We seemed to serve together in Ipperwash, Germany until your posting to CAR in 68. What unit were you serving with when you were posted to CAR? Pro Patria.

Phil, I was in 2 CDO D Coy from 74 - 77. 1 RCR before and after. Do you remember a guy by the name of Ron "Trooper" Green? He was in the jump company in the mid 60's. He had a malfunction on a jump into Broden, he survived, came down on his reserve. He is my cousin so I am just wondering if you knew him. Jerry Robertson

Hey Phil: Cousin Jerry just called to inform me you were on the same jump that I had to use my reserve, I still have the reserve handle after all these years. I was glad to hear someone still remembers me....and I hope for the right reasons!!! Wish I could say the same Phil, I'm OK with faces names are a little harder. Let me know where you live and maybe we could share stories. I would love to know where some of the old times are, and what they are doing. Before this thing times out on me again, don't be a stranger. Ron Trooper Green

Hi Phil: Another day, another dollar so they say. Yes I remember Ray and Eric well Ray was my Sgt. in Machine Gun Platoon and I spent one summer in Gagetown with Eiic. Both good guys. Eric went to Rivers as an instructor and thats the last I saw of him. And the last time I saw Ray was Germany before my release. I got my release in Germany in 66 My knee ceased up one day and that ended my career. Thanks to that jump I now have have Two new knees and a new hip. With all the new parts I'm ten years younger.LOL Yes I think I do remember you ....But not 100% sure, that will keep me up for another couple of nights. I remember the other guys you spoke of. How about NO Neck Davis? Stay in touch. Ron "Trooper Green Jim Buffet, Speed bag Henderson, Cpl Joe Page, remember them?

Hey Hugh: I remember all guy you spoke of a really good bunch Royals. Paddy taggart was my room mate in Germany and Londonl. What ever became of him??? I tried to look him up in London, but no luck. Of course that was many years ago. I think I remember you , but not quite sure. I put some pictures in the photo challenge and most of the guys from MG Platoon are featured somewhere. Remember Scottie Moore the boxer??? Where and what are you doing now??? Jamie Jamieson is one guy I will never forget we used to tease him something awful...I feel bad about it now. But just one great person. The names you listed bring back a lot of good memoreis. If you want to get in touch my address is Bigqt_2000@yahoo.com Don't be a stranger. Ron "Trooper" Green

Hey Phil: Yes you do have a few years on me, I enlisted in 62 at the young age of 16. You were already an old vet. I got my names mixed up Jonnie Quinn was my Sgt in MG Platoon and Ray was a Cpl in B Coy. If I remember correctly. Punchie Bell was my section Cpl in MG Platoon. He was quite a guy and one hell of a field soldier, not much for paper work. I would have followed him anywhere. His wife was a real nice lady, see looked after us single lads in Gremary. Made me feel at home in her house, lots of tea no booze. LOL You sure did make a lot of jumps, more time in air than the average bird. Puts me to shame. I hope that broken leg is not bothering you now. Thirty one years, thats a long time , you deserve a long and happy retirement. Yes that's damm good for a old Royal and I truly wish you many more good years. No I never did hear you yelling on the DZ that day:))) Keep in touch. Ron Trooper Green

Hey Phil: Glad to see your still very active and not slowing down. Sixty miles a week is really good. No running for me, I do a bit of walking on the thread mill ....controled conditions. lol but I do get to gym 5 times a week. I remember how I used to do just about anything to get out of PT. Now I pay to exercise, how things change!!! Funny you should say Arizona I just said to my wife a couple of weeks ago about going there for winter holiday. Getting sick of Florida. So I just might end up on your door step. Don't worry I'll give you lots of warning. LOL Sure would like to see some pictures' nice of you to ask. My e-mail address is Bigqt_2000@yahoo.com Anytime your down this way look me up. Not a great big football fan Just get interested around Gray Cup Time anybody but Toronto. Keep in touch, and don't forget the pictures. Trooper.
