BRIAN ! I thought you might be interested in this site, you being an avid photographer . Last winter, due to a lack of food up north , hundereds of Great Gray Owls came down to eastern Ontario to look for food . The experts say each owl needs three mice a day to stay healthy. Sadly a lot of them did not pull through as they arrived in poor health . Many had accidents with vehicles and power lines , as they don't have to cope with that on their home turf . The Great Gray is a beautiful bird , and the photos are also . This site is valid using Yahoo , I tried Google and Sympatico and it won't come up. Click onto the following, http://www.pbase.com/gangw/owl and hopefully you will access the site ."PS" I am always a bit hesitant about giving out a web site , in case you get something you did not ask for. Enjoy, and these winter scenes should cool you off watching this magnificent Great Gray Owl catch his/her rations for the day . "PRO PATRIA".

Thanks Earl, I'm familiar with PBase, and was once a member, but let my dues expire in 2002. I hadn't seen this gallery though, and it's got some truly remarkable photos there. Thanks a bunch. Brian
