I just heard of the passing of "Smokey" Smith of the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada who was awarded the Victoria Cross for destroying three German tanks with a PIAT in Italy. I met "Smokey" once, he seemed to be a "down to earth" type of guy. Has gone at the age of 91. The "year of the Veteran", let's remember them all. Pro Patria, Hugh Conway
