Members of the Regiment gathered in Gagetown during the week of 5 June, in order to conduct the following regimental business:
Change of Appointment of the Colonel of the Regiment from MGen Tom de Faye, CMM, CD, to MGen Walt Holmes, MBE, CD. The change of appointment ceremony was conducted at the St Andrew's Barracks WOs & Sgts Mess, hosted and supported by the 2nd Battalion. Conduct of the MGen D.C. Spry Small Arms Competition. This year's competition was in a trial format developed by the Regimental CWO. Three of the four Battalions were able to provide ten-member teams ranging in rank from Pte to Capt. Each team member was required to demonstrate skill with the C7 service rifle, shotgun and pistol. Shooting requirements were designed to test the shooter's ability to follow instructions, speed and accuracy with each weapon. The 3rd Battalion team carried the day by a narrow margin and the Spry Trophy will be on its way from Gregg Barracks to Foulkes Barracks.
