Geez, that sucks, Moe. I spent the summer of the 100th with Davy in Ipperwash, he I/C repelling, I the dsm. Wally Turple was the RSM at the tiime, sheeet, where has the time gone. sigh.
Anyhow, those of you who know davy and what its like on summer tasking in Ipperwash.... ;-)
God bless him, we spent many a night around the campfire down at the campsite or in the mess having a few cold ones and shooting the breeze after work.
I think I will have a prayer for him tonight before lights out....
PS Thanks again for the pictures, moe. Yer a good man!

My sincere condolence to David’s Family!
Dave was my section commander in London, and when we formed the Duke of Edinburgh Company to augment the 8CH in Cyprus 78/79 tour. I have many fond memories, and plenty of stories to tell; Dave was indeed a good soldier, and a very good man – he will be missed!
It's rather sad, that once we leave the regiment and move on, we tend to loose track of our old friends, and often wonder what became of them, and how there doing. Over the years, when a few of us would get together, you would always hear the guys saying; has anyone seen, "so and so", then the stories would start. This forum provides a wonderful opportunity to find and remember old friends.
Along with Dave, I often wonder what ever happened to, (Ranks held in 78) Sgt (Dan?)Bullerwell, Sgt (Tom) Fenton, and MCpl Fur-e-ack (incorrect spelling).

Correction; I believe Sgt Bullerwell’s first name was Wayne, vice Dan.
