Good day fellows, I've been meaning to write for awhile, but words seem to run together before I finish. I would like to thank all who have sent condolances to Randys and my family, they mean a lot. Randy served with a real good bunch of lads in Wainwright. Capt Kevin Winfield and His wife Padre Winfield along with Padre Keddie helped us immensly. The Base Comd was with us when Jody and I found out and we wanted for nought. You see I was there when the dreaded knock came on the door at 00:02 AM just like the movies but more shocking. My other son bless his heart has set up a page for Randy at the enclosed link just go and click on Randys photo to see more. http://www.chrispayne.ca/2006/04/27/in-loving-memory/ This is the only battle that I know he was in that he lost although from what I understand he did his best to come back to his family. The vehicle he was driving hit a stack of four anti tank mines so no way was anyone coming out of this one. Say a prayer for the little fellow and his family. Always & Forever Pro Patria my friends Dave Payne and Families
